Brian Soliday, Advisor
Brian Soliday has 30 years of extensive experience working in sales, marketing and channel within the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and remote sensing. He currently serves as Sales Executive for 1Spatial. has presented technical papers at over 75 events on six continents and has written articles in; Eastman’s Bowhunting Journal, Planning, Point of Beginning, The World & I, GEOEurope, Arc News, Space News, and Earth Observation He graduated Summa cum laude with a MA degree in geography specializing in sensing and GIS in 1987, and earned a BS degree in geography in 1983. Both degrees earned from the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO).
His athletic career included being awarded a full scholarship to play football at UNO and was as a Maverick Team Captain in 1981. Brian also won seven consecutive Nebraska state titles, including breaking 28 state records in the process. Currently serves on the Board of Directors of American Heroes in Acton (AHIA, americanheroesinaction.org/).
A nonprofit focused on providing therapeutic outdoor for combat-wounded vets and injured 1 st responders. He is also very active in leading and Purple Heart recipient hunting activities in Colorado through AHIA, with almost 50 1st time youth and Purple Heart hunts under his belt.
2004-1010, Soliday served as the Colorado Volunteer Chair for the Rocky Mountain Elk. He continues to serve as an RMEF volunteer, MC’ing a number of RMEF events the Front Range. Brian served on the Board of Directors for the Rocky Mountain Region ASPRS for 8 years (’99-2007), including serving as President in 2004. He also served on the (GIS Colorado) Board of Directors.
